CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS

MUST BE A JERSEY STRONG MEMBER TO ENTER OR WIN

 

The Jersey Strong Summer Shred weight loss contest ("Contest") may only be entered from the United States. This Contest is available only to those persons, 18 or older, who are legal residents of the United States and must enter from one of those locations. Contest void where prohibited.

 

Entry Conditions:

To enter, you must read the official contest rules below, you must be a Jersey Strong member in good-standing, you must complete an official weigh-in and weigh-out with a designated Jersey Strong employee within the designated Contest Period.

 

Sponsor:

D/B/A Jersey Strong (WOW I, Inc, WOW III, LLC, WOW VI, LLC, WOW VII, LLC, Jersey Strong 17, LLC, WOW VIII, LLC, WOW IX, LLC, WOW X, LLC, WOW XII, LLC, WOW XIV, LLC, WOW XVI, LLC), 1800 Route 34, Building 4, Suite 402, Wall, NJ 07719. Employees of Sponsor, any affiliate of Sponsor, any of their advertising or promotional agencies, any Sponsor of any prize offered in the Contest or any business or entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration or fulfillment of the Contest ("Contest Parties"), and their immediate family members (meaning spouses, parents, siblings and children living in the same household) are not eligible to enter or win.

 

Contest Start Date - Weigh-in:

The contest has a rolling start (“Contest Start Date”) and is open for entry March 1-31, 2023, during which time you must weigh-in and complete an InBody Scan with a designated Jersey Strong employee. Contest Period:

The duration of the contest (“Contest Period”) is 8 weeks from the date of weigh-in. 

 

Contest End Date - Weigh-out:

The contest has an end date (“Contest End Date”) exactly 8 weeks from the date of weigh-in. You must weight-out and complete an InBody Scan with a designated Jersey Strong employee on any day up to and including the contest end date.

 

Contest Prizes:

During the Contest Period there will be six Grand Prize winners among ALL Jersey Strong locations:

• Largest Percentage of Body Fat Lost: The top three (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) contest participants who lost the largest percentage of body fat will each receive a check in the amount of $1,000.  Example:  22.5% body fat to 16% body fat = 6.5% body fat reduction.  In the event of a tie, percentage of body weight lost will be tie-breaker.  Should a tie remain, prizes will be split.
• Largest Percentage of Body Weight Lost: The top three (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) contest participants who lost the largest percentage of body weight will each receive a check in the amount of $1,000. Example: Initial Weight 150lbs, ending weight 120lbs = 20% of body weight lost. In the event of a tie, largest percentage of body fat list will be tie-breaker.  Should a tie remain, prizes will be split.

 

During the Contest Period there will be four Runner-up Prize winners among ALL Jersey Strong locations:

• Largest Percentage of Body Fat Lost: The 4th and 5th place contest participants who lost the largest percentage of body fat will each receive a free year of membership dues at Jersey Strong.
• Largest Percentage of Body Weight Lost: The 4th and 5th place contest participants who lost the largest percentage of body weight will each receive a free year of membership dues at Jersey Strong.

 

All entrants are only eligible for one prize.

 

How to Enter:

Meet with the designated Jersey Strong Training Manager, get weighed-in and fill-out a contest entry form on or before March 31, 2023 at any NJ Jersey Strong location.

 

Judging/Winner Selection:

All contest participants must be weighed-out by a designated Jersey Strong employee on or before 8 weeks from their contest start date. Participants from each Jersey Strong location will be judged based on percentage of body fat lost between their starting body fat percentage at the contest start date weigh-in and their ending body fat percentage at the contest end date weight-out. Participants with a higher percentage of body fat lost within the contest dates, place higher within the contest. Participants from each Jersey Strong location will also be judged based on percentage of body weight lost between their starting weight at the contest start date weigh-in and their ending weight at the contest end date weight-out. Participants with a higher percentage of body weight lost within the contest dates, place higher within the contest. 

 

If an insufficient number of entries is received in the Contest, fewer than all available prizes may be awarded.

 

Prize Acceptance:

Each winner may be required to complete, execute and return an affidavit confirming the winner's identification and eligibility, a Liability Release and Publicity/Advertising Release. If any documents are not returned within five (5) days of the date sent, or if any prize notification is returned as non-deliverable or any winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these official rules, disqualification may result. Failure to sign and return these forms when requested may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner.

 

Acceptance of a prize will constitute permission to use winner's name, hometown, likeness, photograph, statements or prize information for advertising and publicity purposes worldwide without limitation and without additional compensation, except where prohibited. Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents will not be responsible for any and all liability for any injury, loss or damage of any kind to or of any person or property (including death of any person), arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize, participation in any Contest related activity, or participation in this Contest. This Contest is void where prohibited or restricted. All submissions become property of Sponsor and will not be returned. No correspondence about submissions will be answered.

 

Validations:

No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, stolen or misdirected entries or any failure or unavailability of hardware, software, electronic communications or Internet uploading or other connections. If integrity of Contest is compromised in any manner, Sponsor reserves the right to modify Contest and judge entries received that are unaffected by the problem. Submissions void if incomplete, or if they contain errors or do not comply strictly with all requirements in these rules.

 

Limitations of Liability and Release:

No liability or responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Contest Parties resulting from any person's participation in or attempt to participate in the Contest or ability or inability to obtain a Contest Registration information or download any information in connection with participating in the Contest. No responsibility or liability is assumed by the Sponsor or Contest Parties for unavailability space within the contest. No responsibility or liability is assumed by the Sponsor or Contest Parties for technical malfunction arising in connection with any of the following occurrences which may affect the operation of the Contest: hardware or software errors, faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite network, electronic, wireless or Internet connectivity or other communication problems; errors or limitations of any Internet service providers, servers, hosts or providers, garbled, jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any e-mail transmissions to be sent or received, lost, late, delayed or intercepted email transmissions; congestion on the Internet or the Web site; inaccessibility of the Web Site in whole or in part for any reason; the; unauthorized human or non-human intervention of the operation of the contest, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bugs, worms or destruction of any aspect of the Contest or loss, miscount, misdirection, inaccessibility or unavailability of any email account used in connection with the Contest.

 

Sponsor and Contest Parties are not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or in these Official Rules, or any inaccurate or incorrect data contained on the Web Site. Use of the Web Site is at the users own risk. Sponsor and the Contest Parties are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to users or any other person's computer equipment resulting from participating in the Contest, use of the Web Site or the download of software or any information from the Web Site. By participating in the Contest, the Entrant releases the Sponsor and Contest Parties from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such Entrant's participation in the Contest.
